Karen De Gregorio

M.A. - Spanish Educator
Ms. De Gregorio has worked in education for more than 25 years, occupying a variety of roles.
Prior to moving to California, she was the executive director of the Philadelphia Area Multicultural Resource Center (now MCRC@ADVIS), an independent school collaborative that supports all aspects of diversity in its member schools through programming for faculty, students and administrators. In the classroom, Karen has a knack for weaving her background in art history, social justice and Spanish into her lesson plans. Her passion for social justice and language teaching was first ignited while living in Peru for four years after college. Karen also had the opportunity to live in Madrid, Spain, where she completed a master's degree in Spanish language and literature. Before joining Geffen Academy, Karen taught Spanish at Viewpoint School in Calabasas and Windward School in Mar Vista. She graduated from Boston College with a B.A. in Art History and holds an M.A. in Spanish language and literature from Middlebury College.
