We’re excited to welcome prospective families as they explore Geffen Academy at UCLA. Begin with an inquiry to access the application and take the first step toward joining our community.
August 24, 2026
- The online admissions application for the 2027-2028 academic year opens at 5 p.m.
- Interview Guarantee Deadline at 5 p.m.
- To qualify for the Interview Guarantee, families must submit both the application form and application payment by 5 p.m.
October 19, 2026
- The tuition assistance application goes live. Visit this page to find out more about the virtual Tuition Assistance Workshops available for prospective and returning families!

- 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 academic records due (submitted by your sending school to our team via the Geffen Academy Admissions portal or mail).
- 2026-2027 fall academic record due (submitted by your sending school to our team via the Geffen Academy portal or mail)
- Letters of recommendation deadline: English, Math, and Additional
- Deadline to submit optional, but encouraged testing scores (ISEE/SSAT)
March 12, 2027
- Middle School and Upper School candidates receive notification of admissions decisions at 5 p.m.
March 19, 2027
- Enrollment deposit and contract deadline at 12 p.m.
Interviews and Tours
We look forward to welcoming your family to Geffen Academy at UCLA! Interviews with our Admissions Team are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and include a tour of campus.
To request an interview, families must first submit both the application form and application payment. Families who complete these steps by the Interview Guarantee Deadline are guaranteed an interview. After the deadline, interview appointments may still be available but cannot be guaranteed.
While we are not able to offer separate campus tours outside of the interview process, we invite you to visit Contact/Visit Us for additional opportunities to connect with our community and experience campus.
Testing Policy
For the 2027-2028 admissions season, Geffen Academy at UCLA strongly encourages testing for applicants. At Geffen Academy at UCLA, we value a comprehensive evaluation of applicants, which incorporates various factors, including test scores, to assess candidates' fit for our program from multiple angles. This approach acknowledges and honors differing insights into aspects of a student's readiness for academic challenges, while also considering other qualities such as extracurricular activities, personal essays, and letters of recommendation. Our aim is to create a well-rounded, diverse student body that can thrive in our academic and social community. This year, there is no penalty for applicants who decide not to submit test scores, nor will priority be given to those who do submit ISEE or SSAT scores.
We look forward to continuing to build an admissions process that gives students and families the opportunities to express their strengths and identities in a complete, equitable, and authentic manner.
In an effort to be good partners to prospective families, Geffen Academy at UCLA will be an ISEE test site and will offer testing dates in Fall 2025 as well as January 2026. Please visit the ERB to register. Lastly, for families interested in receiving a fee waiver for the ISEE or SSAT tests, please email our team at admissions@geffenacademy.ucla.edu and we will provide you with the necessary information.
