Entrance tests
: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Geffen Academy at UCLA will be making entrance tests optional for the upcoming 2021-2202 admissions cycle. While families may still choose to submit test scores, applicants will not be disadvantaged in the evaluation process if test scores are not submitted. Our standard policy has been to accept the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) and the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT). This year, as an added measure of flexibility, scores from recent tests other than the ISEE and SSAT will also be accepted. However, no testing is required.

Late applications
: Geffen Academy at UCLA will consider later applications from faculty and staff being recruited to the UCLA community due to the higher education hiring cycle and timeline. We will work with families on a case-by-case basis to ensure the student’s candidacy is thoroughly vetted in accordance with our general guidelines for admissions.
Geffen Academy at UCLA utilizes a paperless admissions process. We do not accept paper transcripts, recommendations, or test results. All materials must be submitted through the admissions portal.
