Janessa Kelly

M.A. - Principal Learning Specialist
Janessa interfaces with students and families in the areas of counseling and social-emotional support.
Janessa’s therapeutic approach stems from the belief that validating and understanding the whole student, coupled with data-driven information, and effective intervention leads to the optimum environment for students to thrive. Janessa is an educational psychologist and counselor. Previously, she worked within the Los Angeles Unified School District and at various nonprofit mental health organizations. She develops mental health programming, conducts psycho-educational assessments, and counsels students. Outside of her work in education, Janessa spends her time attending concerts, botanical gardens, enjoying contemporary/pop art and its intersection with activism. Janessa holds a B.A. in Psychology and a B.A. in Child & Adolescent Development from California State University Northridge, a M.A. in Educational Psychology from Alliant International University, and a M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University.
