Michael Carter

M.F.A. - Visual Arts Educator
In addition to being an Educator, Michael is a visual artist working in painting and performance.
His work is an investigation into metaphysical theories of art and the cultural histories of science, philosophy, and spirituality. He earned an M.F.A. from Claremont Graduate University in 2010. Michael has taught at institutions including Compton College, the University of La Verne, and the Philosophical Research Society. Prior to attending Claremont, Michael worked as a motion graphics designer in the music and live events industry for clients including Paul McCartney, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, VH1, and the Paramount Network. Michael’s work has been noted by the Los Angeles Times and LA Weekly.
