Yujia Hua

M.A. - Mandarin Educator
Ms. Hua has worked in K-12 schools in New York and Iowa.
In her five-year tenure at Central Academy, a public magnet school in Des Moines, Iowa, she developed a program for beginning and accelerated Mandarin students in her school district. Through this experience, Ms. Hua gained a valuable understanding of K-12 program and curriculum design for a diverse student body, including heritage and non-heritage speakers. She also has developed curricula with IB principles in her work as a K-12 educator. In addition, Ms. Hua has participated in and presented at professional conferences about teaching Mandarin. She received her M.A. in Adolescent Education (Grades 7-12) from Hunter College and her B.A. from Jincheng College of Sichuan University.
