Johanna Day

Ed.D. - English & Humanities Educator
Dr. Day earned her doctorate in education from California State University, Los Angeles.

There, she studied teaching and organizational culture in charter schools. Johanna began her teaching career in Vermont, where she also earned an M.A. in education, but has been teaching in the Los Angeles area since 2015. In addition to her broad experience in teaching and in coaching teachers, she brings both a pedigree as a championship-winning poetry slam coach and an uncanny ability to recommend just the right book to young adult (YA) readers.
