Elizabeth Ashforth

Elizabeth was a science instructor at Marlborough School for nine years.
She was program head of the Leonetti O’Connell Honors Research in Science Program, which provides mentorship for advanced STEM students in professional research labs around Los Angeles. This program allows students the opportunity to undertake challenging research and to communicate their results through professional presentations. Previously, Elizabeth spent 17 years working in the biopharmaceutical industry, specializing in the global development and marketing of, and education on, therapeutics based on classical pharmacology, gene therapy and biotechnology. She graduated from Leeds University in the UK with a double major in biochemistry and pharmacology, and she completed her Ph.D. in pharmacokinetics at Manchester University. She is an avid horseback rider and was head coach of the Marlborough equestrian team for many years.
