Ying Wang teaches Mandarin in the Department of World Languages and Cultures.
Born and raised in Shanxi, China, she received her master’s degree in Chinese language and literature at San Francisco State University. She also holds a California single-subject teaching credential in Mandarin. Ying Wang, who has been teaching Mandarin since 2014, has a wide array of teaching experience with students from elementary school through college. She has also taught in immersion and non-immersion language classroom settings. Focused on inspiring her students to pursue academic and personal excellence, she strives to create a challenging and engaging learning environment in which students become lifelong scholars and learners.
