Nathan Simoneaux

M.Ed. - History Educator
Nathan comes to the history department from the Garfield High School in Seattle, Washington.
At Garfield High, he taught a variety of courses in their history curriculum since the 2011-12 academic year. He received his bachelor of arts degree in 2011 from the University of Washington and his master’s in teaching secondary education in 2013, also from the University of Washington. Beyond the classroom, he is a film devotee, listing Ingmar Bergman, Jacques Tati, and Yasujiro Ozu among his favorite directors. He also has a passion for escape rooms. A native southern Californian, he will be teaching 7th and 8th grade Civics next year and will be collaborating with the department team in constructing the 8th grade Pre-Modern World course, which will be offered during the 2020-21 academic year.
