Dan Heinrich started his professional career as a Senior Assistant Dean of Admission at his alma mater, Wesleyan University.
He then transitioned to the secondary school side as an Associate Director of College Counseling at ‘Iolani School, in Honolulu, HI. Dan Heinrich is a recent graduate of the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE), where he studied Education Policy and Management. While there, he served as a fellow for the Equity and Inclusion Fellowship Program to support a more equitable and inclusive campus. He was also selected as a fellow in the university-wide leadership development program, Harvard Graduate Student Leadership Institute (HGSLI). Dan Heinrich served as a reader for Brown University’s Admission Office, interviewed prospective students for Harvard College, and volunteered as an Admission Ambassador for HGSE—while also interning at an educational technology company as a graduate researcher focused on Artificial Intelligence interventions on college student retention and persistence. Since 2011, Dan Heinrich has worked as a volunteer faculty member for the community-based organization, College Horizons, which supports the higher education of American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian students. In his free time, he enjoys travel, connecting with the natural world, and community building and waymaking through arts and culture.
