M.A. - Science Department Chair & Educator
Alan Kim has taught courses in chemistry, biology, anatomy and physiology, microbiology, biotechnology, and genetics for 9th through 12th grade.
He has developed and implemented science curriculum that reflects the progressive pedagogy of LREI. He has also taught science abroad in Korea and as an elementary school science teacher in Los Angeles. Prior to joining us, Alan worked at Little Red School House & Elisabeth Irwin High School (LREI), a K-12 progressive independent school, in New York City from 2014-2018. He earned a B.A. in Biology and English and American Literature from Brandeis University as well as a M.A. in Education from Pepperdine University.
