Leslie Dove

P.E. Educator & Assistant Swimming Coach
Leslie brings an extensive background in competitive swimming.
In addition to being our middle school P.E. swimming specialist and assistant coach for the middle and high school swim teams, Leslie is on our diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) committee, serves as the advisor for the Black Student Association (BSA) and also as a seventh grade advisor. Before attending UCLA as an undergraduate, Leslie swam competitively for nine years and played water polo for four years. She competed in USA Swimming Foundation and California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) sporting events before deciding to pursue a degree in anthropology. A CIF finalist and Junior Olympics qualifier, Leslie began working as a lifeguard and swim instructor for UCLA Recreation in her junior year. She has received employee of the year awards and was the recipient of the Steve Mitakis Memorial Award. Leslie went on to work as a head lifeguard and the swim lessons coordinator. For the past two years, Leslie was a coach for the Bruin Swim Club and the UCLA Bruin Masters Swim Club before joining the Geffen Academy community.
