M.A. - Dean of Faculty
Larisa oversees faculty at Geffen Academy and regularly convenes department chairs in order to strengthen interdisciplinary connections and cohesion of the schoolwide learning goals and curricula.
Larisa received her B.A. in history and peace studies from Wellesley College and her M.A. in teaching social studies from Columbia University. As the Co-Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at the Windward School in Los Angeles, Larisa served as an in-house consultant for department chairs, faculty and the administration, as well as managing professional and curricular development. Concurrently, she taught history at the upper and middle school levels and served as a student advisor. Her recent invited presentations include: “This I Believe: Cultivating Students’ Individual Voices Through Digital Storytelling and Historical Research” and “Fostering a Culture of Teacher-Led Change.”
