Michael Albertson

Michael Albertson is the founding Music Department Chair of Geffen Academy at UCLA and a 20+ year music educator.
Michael Albertson is the founding Music Department Chair of Geffen Academy at UCLA and a 20+ year music educator.
He earned his doctorate in Music and Music Education from Teachers College, Columbia University in 2015. Dr. Albertson’s research interests include diversity and access in music education and protest music. He enjoys participating in citizen science, and is proud to have won the New Yorker Cartoon Caption Contest in 2012.
