Student Activities Center – Gym

The Geffen Academy boy’s and girl’s basketball and volleyball programs use the Student Activities Center Gym in the Wooden Center for practice and competition.

The Student Activities Center, opened in 1932, was home to the UCLA Bruins men’s basketball teams until Pauley Pavilion opened for the 1965-1966 basketball season. The Student Activities Center gym has Coach John Wooden’s original chalkboard as well as the very gym floor where he trained Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. It is also the home of the NBA pre-season.
