Joohwan Lee

Joohwan Lee joins Geffen Academy with over 20 years of experience teaching mathematics at the college level. He holds a Master’s degree in Mathematics from the University of New Hampshire and a Bachelor’s from the University of Alaska Anchorage.

His teaching blends narrative structure with logical rigor, inspired by thinkers from Dostoevsky to Douglas Adams. He believes mathematics isn’t just a tool for solving problems, but a framework for understanding the world.

Outside the classroom, Joohwan enjoys time with his family and exploring the intersections between math, literature, and culture.
