Adam Morgenstern earned his B.A. and M.A. in history at California State University, Northridge. Adam taught higher education for eight years before joining Geffen Academy in 2024. He has taught at community college and, more recently, at CSUN and Loyola Marymount University. His areas of specialty include Constitutional history of the United States, the Cold War, and twentieth-century American foreign relations.

Adam approaches history with an emphasis on historiography and by examining the ever-present correlation between written history and public memory. His research focuses on the ways in which contemporary events account for changes in the way history is remembered by different generations. He encourages students to share their own stories, understanding that they have a unique responsibility not only to learn the past but also to preserve it.

When not in the classroom, Adam is an avid cook who will experiment with any new recipe. He likes to stay active by hiking, bicycling, swimming, and traveling. He is a film enthusiast and a dog lover.
