Brianna Winn
M.A. - Dean of Faculty
Ms. Winn serves as Dean of Faculty at Geffen Academy. In this role, she works primarily with the Academic Leadership Team, namely Division Directors and Department Chairs, to support key administrative and instructional programs across the school.
Ms. Winn serves as Dean of Faculty at Geffen Academy. In this role, she works primarily with the Academic Leadership Team, namely Division Directors and Department Chairs, to support key administrative and instructional programs across the school.
Ms. Winn holds a B.A. in English from Saint Mary’s College of California, two M.A. degrees in Education from the University of California, Berkeley and will graduate from UCLA’s Graduate School of Education and Information Studies with a doctorate in Educational Leadership in 2024. In addition, Ms. Winn holds a professional clear single subject teaching credential in English and a clear Tier II administrative services credential.
Prior to joining the Geffen Academy team in 2022, Ms. Winn served as a founding teacher residency director and high school principal in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her 10 years of secondary school and district administrative experience is preceded by 8 years as a high school English teacher and teacher leader in various public and charter schools in northern and southern California.
Ms. Winn’s professional interests and expertise include: instructional leadership, DEI-based professional development and coaching, continuous improvement, and organizational systems thinking.
