Didier Reiss

J.D. & M.A. - History Educator
Didier has taught courses in religious, literary and legal texts at the Los Angeles Hebrew High School in Van Nuys.
Most recently, Didier taught core and advanced Middle School Jewish Studies at TVT Community Day School in Irvine, where he designed interactive study units embedded with big ideas, essential questions and opportunities for students to demonstrate understanding. At the university level, Didier has taught Medieval Jewish Philosophy at the Hebrew Union College of Communal Service in Los Angeles; lectured on Modern Jewish Thought and Zionism at California State University, Long Beach; and taught History of Religions, Ancient Western Civilization, Modern Western Civilization and U.S. Political History since 1865 as a teaching associate for the UCLA Department of History. Didier has served as a Consulting Acquisitions Curator for the U.S. Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C. and previously worked as an attorney in private practice. Didier received a B.A. in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations from the University of Chicago, an M.A. in Social Sciences from the University of Chicago, a C. Phil. in History from UCLA and a J.D. from UCLA School of Law.
