Rebeca Puga

M.F.A. & J.D. - Visual Arts Department Chair
Born and raised in Santiago, Chile, Rebeca obtained a B.A., as well as a law degree, from Universidad de Chile at the School of Social Economical and Juridical Sciences and became an attorney.
In 1994, she earned an M.F.A. in painting, drawing, and printmaking from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has served as a full-time faculty member at California State Summer School of the Arts, a visiting artist and lecturer at California Institute of the Arts (Cal Arts), Claremont Graduate University and University of Chicago, and instructor at School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Rebeca has headlined and participated in myriad solo and group exhibitions in the U.S. and abroad, and her awards include a Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture Merit Scholarship and grants from the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Illinois Arts Council.
