Geffen Academy at UCLA seeks students from diverse backgrounds who are prepared and motivated to make the most of and contribute to our unique school.

Our Admissions Process

In making admissions decisions, Geffen Academy considers the academic and personal qualities of each applicant and the ways in which they will thrive in and contribute to the diversity and life of the school. Students are admitted based on a holistic review of their application and an evaluation of several factors, including potential impact and tone-setting for a new school, previous academic work, school reports, essays, and recommendations. Test results are optional.

The diversity of our student body is essential to our campus culture. Geffen Academy at UCLA welcomes students of any race, color, ethnicity, national origin, immigration status, citizenship, gender identification, gender expression, sexual orientation, physical or mental ability, religion, and economic background. Creating a sense of community is highly valued at Geffen Academy, which is why we provide an inclusive admissions process for families across Los Angeles as well as for UCLA faculty and staff as part of their recruitment and retention. We invite you to explore our website further for more information about our admissions process and our school.
