6th Grade Retreats to the Channel Islands

The 6th grade class ventured the seas to explore Channel Islands National Park for a day of connection with each other and nature.
They explored the island hiking with naturalist Andrea who told them facts about the island, such as it used to inhabit a species of pygmy wooly mammoths. Then they were able to kayak around the island with experienced guides, where they were able to see kelp forests and even a bald eagle! It was a great day of adventure in the sun.
