Middle School Study Skills - incoming or current Geffen Academy students only

This course is designed to prepare students to handle the rigors and joy of a middle school education by helping them understand how to make the best use of the tools of successful students. Students in this course will learn organizational, procedural, and time-management strategies for successfully handling academic tasks both inside and outside the classroom. While special attention will be paid to active listening, reading, note-taking, and studying strategies, we will also intentionally bring joy to this class and analyze how fun and a love of learning are necessary for success.
